Update:
Well it's been a while since I've updated this. After Le Mans, I promised myself I would slow down for a few months to try and recoup from the cash I put into getting the Rota's on. I spend some of my time driving my Dads cars (mainly to take my Sister to her prom!)
Other than that, I started fitting my Defi but like a fool, snapped the sender in half whilst fitting it into the adaptor :goingmad:
I did buy a replacement but as you guessed, it didn't work. The Defi senders must be specific to their gauges so thats another £40 I need to spend :blah:
Since fitting the Rotas, I've been having problems with rubbing. The rears have calmed down a lot now as I have notched the dampening up 2 turns. This has given the original 'sharp' turn in responce that I seem to have lost after putting bigger wheels and softer tyres on. The main concern now turned to the front.
I was never quite happy with the stopping power of the car. After trying a few sets of pads, I still wasn't confident with how the car stopped. I did weigh up the costs of investing in some £180 DS2500 or spending a few hundred more and going for a big brake set up. So with that in mind, I bought these:
New gen 8 pot K-Sports with Blue Stuff pads. I originally wanted the 356mm disc but due to a small mistake, I ended up with 330mm. Not to worry eh.
After a quick clean up:
Back to the fitment, I am running an ET18 up front at the moment and the rubbing was getting a little too much for me and I always wished the front were tucked in a tiny bit, maybe closed to an ET20? So with much more caliper clearance now and better stopping power, I have killed two birds with one stone. Bloody expensive 2mm I tell you!
They do actually fit on an ET38! (not that I'd consider it) The wheels DO turn like this! :naughty: :mhihi:
So thats that, sorry for the essay and thanks for reading. I will update as soon as the new brakes are on and spacers have been on the lathe.
Thanks for reading!!

They're not actually running like that. That was just a picture for the crack. They will be run with around 5mm of room.

I'd love to but on this set up, I'm pretty much at my limit. The next stage of tuning runs into the thousands

Discs all cleaned up nicely with a bit of elbow grease
Had a nice surprise when I got the new Evolution mag. My mate was reading it and said: "Bloody hell Jay! Your car's in here...twice!!"
Been getting the KSports all sorted this week and ready for fitting this weekend.
I decided that I love the red accent theme and to take away the Brembos would ruin this, therfore I decided to paint the KSports. (bit daunting spraying up a £1000 big brake set up)
After I cleaned them up, I primed them:
Then wacked on some paint. This was closest to the Brembo red I could find:
and then finally into laquer. Dropped them into my mate who owns a bodyshop:
Very happy with the results
Logo's now hand painted on

Thank you sir. Yeh he painted them in with a steady hand from his War Hammer days
The mag pics were a real surprise! A nice one at that. No but it was picked as 1 of 10 UK cars to represent Meguiar's at their 10th year Anniversary. Got a professional print photo done of me and the car and a shit load of free stuff. Hence why I ONLY use Meguiar's!

The lad on the MLR told me they were 356mm but when turned up, they were 330mm. Got £100 refund and the whole set up at a serious bargain so not that bothered.
