At AMD prices for my golf (would never use them personally)
Oil service inc fitting £150.00
Haldex service inc fitting £100
Full service £294
So the Evo prices aren't bad tbh

Just had a look at the Impreza service costs, and they are pretty similar, but people talk about them all the time

i wouldnt call 150-200 every 10k unaffordable, especially if its not going to be used as a daily which most bought arent

if you do 20k a year in it, which I would class as high for that car then you are looking at 300-400 quid for services, per year if you avoid the cambelt.
If you only do 10k then 2-300, you pay more then that in tax

£400 pa, I pay more to tax a Vauxhall.
If you get a pre 2006 Evo you're no worse off.
In fact said Vauxhall averages 22mpg.
You don't hear me wanking about how exclusive it is.

Think you're using the Evo X intervals.
tbh, I don't know now either.
I would of thought someone could own one on a budget though, just do most of the work yourself and sod the precious service stamps. Maybe a cheap indy if you can't self service.

My ctr is due an oil and filter change. £60 should get me the oil and filter. Might top up the coolant if i can squeeze that into the budget.

that takes into account insurance petrol, tax etc etc, i bet if you worked out the costs for any mild performance car you would be surprised bet its not far off that
also 20k is a lot more then the average evo would do imo

You got the list of what is changed? Not sure I've ever spent £1400 on oil and filters in my entire life.

Sure that's in another box which he hasn't pasted.
I got it up to about £10k with insurance and fuel if you do a few miles.

yet if you do 30-40k it costs 500 quid in servicing.
theres definitlely some massaging of the figures to include the most expensive services to justify the fact you apparently cant talk about affording one
