I've got the 308's from the Coupe with 888 pads, which are DS2500's. They work pretty well, but I could do with more stopping power.

On the way home from getting the car mapped, the arch liner got pulled into the wheel along with the trim. Which made me jump, with the noise it made, and the speed I was doing. I thought I had done something major.

I bought a nice new one from Vauxhall, and fitted it on.

After that I checked to see if I could drill out the sleeve to fit the 14mm bolt for the SRI rear beam, but it's gonna leave me with a 1mm wall thickness, which looks a bit too thin. But while I was at it, I remembered I had set of lowering springs I never fitted to one my old B's. Which has levelled it of better at the rear. I did get any pictures because it hadn't settled.

The fittings I ordered came today, so I made myself a set of braided hoses for the car. Since a set of six hoses for the disc beams are a lot ready made.

Cheers, they are pretty cheap and easy to replace, so not too bad. Yeah glad I hadn't had them painted.

How much were the fittings if you dont mind me asking?
I need to sort my sri beam to go on the van.
Would be interested in how the handbrake cables go aswell when you sort it as i have the cables but can't figure out how they go.

cheers, ive bought the 3 cables what were listed at the car spares place but i don't know which one is which.
Have you bought new shocks or are you going to drill the ones yourv'e got?

Im replacing the polybush stuff in my corsa b ones with a m14 sleeve as drilling the m10 out melted the bush

I looked at drilling the bush, but with my poor maths I worked out I would only have 0.5mm wall thickens. So I've ordered at set of shocks.

I'll bolt everything back together on the weekend, and get a picture. Fingers cross it will be on for next weekend.

Since I've entered the fight club.

My shocks which I ordered turned up sooner than I expected, I had a bit of free time earlier, so I built the rear beam back up, after giving it a lick of paint, new discs and pads, with braided hoses.

Some handbrake cable mount pictures for Carl.

I fitted the beam last night after work.

It took a while, so I ran out of time to bleed it, so I did that this evening, it could do with another but they seem to work well.

Once I've done that, I'm gonna check it over, wash it ready for PVS, all my paper work turned up yesterday for the Fight club I entered a while back, so I'll see how I got with that on Sunday, I'll be pleased if I'm not last. :lmao:

This Chris.

It's a bit of autotest type stuff, and 1/4 mile timed runs, quickest wins.

My brakes are now spot on.

Not sure if I'm honest. I didn't do very well on the handling course, my best time was 25 sec. The best was a s/c VX220, with 20 sec. My best 1/4 mile time they counted was 14.09 I think, but I was doing better times after they gave out the cup to the winner, best of the day was 13.8, Dale was quickest with 11.9.

Only 23 people entered, most being VXR's. I'm really happy with my car I did 9 1/4 mile runs, maybe 5 around the handling course, and nothing broke, I think I might have a leak on a CV boot, but I haven't touched the car since I got home. I got about 220 miles out of 40l of V-Power

Thanks, the free strip runs and entry ticket was good.

I reckon I could get the times down as well.
