your missing the point you dipshit...

you need to be on treads to qualify for a lot of competitions like TOTB.

fair enough if he doesn't want to, that's fine but a lot of people have a tread time and a slick time

See I don't get it tbh. A glued surface time on slicks shouldn't mean you can qualify for the likes of totb which is on an old air filed with no prep. Its completely different.

That's a good point actually.

The qualify time for FWD cars is 12.3 or less at Pod.

What sort of time's do the fast FWD cars run at TOTB?? Are they not well into the low 11s??

So why do they set the bar so high on a prep'd surface??

Run a 12.2 at Pod and qualify, then not get close to that on the day of TOTB.

Dosn't really make sense to me.

there cant be that many Vaux FWD running in 10/11 sec bracket that would run at TOTB. It needs to be a wide enough net to catch folk... there are always cliques too in these teams, so maybe some of the slower cars need accounted for, or cars more suited to top speed/handling.

I agree with you John, it's the same as telling someone to remove their turbo so they can compete in a N/A class
