Doug what jacket is that? Looks nice. Has it got a pocket for a shoulder pad?

It's expensive, but Musto stuff is normally great quality. It's also light enough to be a good vest for the summer as well whilst still looking smart.
It does have a slot for a pad if required. It's a retired range now hence why it's a bit cheaper than Musto stuff can normally be.

Cheers. Poped into the local place. Tried on a few musto ones. All the new ones seem really thin and are alot more money.
Found a cheaper brand but seemed better quality. And for £40 can't argue. Only thing is there is no space for a extra shoulder pad. But could get the women to sew one in.
Who has tried the D30 things?

Anyone out shooting this weekend coming? Anyone traveling anywhere South? Could be tempted to meet up.

Arguably you're probably better off getting a recoil pad fitted to the gun. But if it's just a cheap temp gun then you can get loads of pads to wear or attach to clothing.
D30 pad doesn't get great reviews but I might try it as the vest has a slot for it.
I'm going to try and get a selection of shells to try over the next few weeks. Quite a few grounds round here insist on fibre unfortunately.

D3O is shit. You'll see Douglas if I can find mine to send Down.
Just buy a semi, loads less recoil. My outlander has less kick with 32g loads than my o/u with 28s. Loads nicer to shoot too!

Are there any good shoulder pads that are better?
Don't really want one on the butt of the gun as inplZn to change soon.

A fixed comb hitting you in the face/cheek bone hurts most.

Lol. I'll let you dislocate your shoulder. Trap all the nerves in it and loose some feeling in your hand and a constant numb shoulder and then give you a shotgun to fire 100 clays with.
Im now using a 24g shot which helps a lot but I just want a bit more padding.

I've got through most of my CompX. I am going to try a fibre wad next as a few grounds around here require them.
Something like the Gamebore Evo 24gm Fibre. Any thoughts?

If your shoulder is that bad you should have bought a semi doug.
Have you got a soft or hard pad on your stock?

It's what I would call medium.
Found a local guy who makes a cushion for the butt that is moulded to your shoulder and will fit over the end of butt so can be changed over.
I'm going to be out for the first time since November. Gona try do as many as I can but probably a good 100.

Not sure where/when I will be shooting on sat, likely to be 50 clays at Ian Coley or Prescott Shooting.
Sunday will be 100 clays at Cotswold Clay Club.
That is unless anyone is venturing out anywhere and fancied meeting up.

I'm shooting at cloudside tomorrow - should be doing 100 but will end up doing 250 for no reason other than I'm going with dad and he's an addict.

Did a quick 50 at Prescott Shooting, round was good but I saved the last 18 shots for the high tower as I white washed on it last time around. Safe to say I white washed again this time, 18 in a row ffs.
I have found my bogey stand! Fast midi clay driven over a tree line.
I watched lots of videos on how to shoot them but they didn't seem to help
The Gamebore Evo's are lovely cartridges but they left the barrels as filthy as a hookers clacker
