Yeah Sean as Adam said lots of patience and good prep Plus whites a nice colour to paint which helped me as well.

Got quite a bit done over the last week! Its nearly ready now woop. Mainly been carrying on with the paintwork which is now finished. Really pleased with the results!

First up was the passenger side door which was in a bit of a sorry state Heres how it looked when I started -

I did exactly the same with this as I did on the drivers side -

But because this side was worse the seam had come away slightly in a couple of places so I resealed them to stop and moisture getting in there

Outside rubbed back to bare metal, treated, filled, primed and flattened back

Another little spot of rust thats been bugging me was by the D/S headlight. Its been there since I've had the car so I thought I might as well sort it now while I was doing everything else

Popped the headlight out, dragster style

As with the doors it was rubbed back to the metal and treated

Then primer time I was proper worried about doing this bit because I didnt want grey over spray all over the wing. So I masked it really tightly and feathered it in to the original paint later on. worked a treat luckily!

Finished products

Not polished them back up yet. Waiting until I do the rest of the car

Treated the engine bay to a couple of new goodies for PVS. First up was a new header tank as the old one was well manky looking!

New coolant

While I had the battery out I steam cleaned the battery cover, couldnt believe the amount of crap I got off it

All back together and clean after a good pressure washing today! Painted my top mounts silver too

Also fitted some stainless steel wing bolts to replace my chipped white ones

So today I started my PVS cleaning Jacked the car up and cleaned the underside of the engine and the inner arches etc. Then cleaned the engine bay and washed the car. Clayed it after ready for machine polishing tomorrow! Cant wait to give it a whirl!

Not driving it between now and PVS so tucked it up in the garage so it can stay nice and clean

Ahh cheers for the warning bud. When I wax it I'll keep away from the painted areas then just to be safe Gotta love white paint though, blends in lovely!

if you wax it Sean you will seal the paint work but the paint is still hardening and needs to breath. but as i say you can polish it.
