I won't book any polo if we are all set for the ride.
Will be one of the last rides out before our Scotland trip so will need to put some miles in!

Guys, I'm looking at getting myself a road bike in the next few weeks.
I dont want to spend more than £300, so can anyone give me advice on what makes etc I should be looking at? I'm assuming theres more value in me buying a second hand one for that price!

Cheers dude.
I am shit at climbing, always have been but then I never really try all that much hauling 13 stone up a ascent just does not work! Aiming for some decent weight loss over the next 12 months. Id love to be 11.5 stone, It would have a good effect, lighter up the hills and a little more aero on the flats. As long as I dont effect muscle I might be onto a winner

My problem is I am a hungry nosed bastard. I love food, I dont care what it is I love it! Reading a few cyclists books and they are saying hunger is not a bad thing! It is in book, I hate been hungry.

Right I sold my hard tail the other day because i had been speaking to another guy about buying his stumperjumper fsr, as it happens he now doesn't want to sell it and I'm bike less .
Been looking on ebay trying to sort one out as quickly as possible so I can try and get myself ready for the london to Brighton off road ride at the end of next month..
I've seen this one but just need some opinions really as I'm not that clued up on bikes.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPECIALIZED-STUMP-JUMPER-COMP-M4-EXCELLENT-CONDITION-stumpjumper-/251314916580?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item3a83894ce4
Or ebay number 251314916580 .
It's a nice looking bike, everything seems to look in good nick but only thing that worries me is its an 06/07.
Surely still got to be better than my specialized hardrock sport tho ?

Why are you worried about its age? Apart from being most likley heavier than a newer model it looks in mint condition.
The only people who worry about age are bike snobs.
