I always copy and paste the bit I want to colour change onto a new layer, that way you can do whatever you like to it without ruining everything
Smoothing shouldn't be affected unless it's on a different layer, depends how you go about doing things. If it is on a different layer, then you could so the same thing on that layer if you remember what you did etc. Oooorr, you may even be able to get away with selecting both layers, and then changing both of them at the same time. It might not let you, but it's worth a try

Right heres my attempt,not sure if i should enter though
one reason really.... I don't use photoshop like you guys so the quality is never as good.
heres mine on the program i use
and here is my attempt (gone for the caddy style again
smoothed everything i could,shortened the lights,roof rails cut to size,small mirrors,wheels and lowered

If you're going to download something the free way then may as well go for CS4
I use CS3, don't really know why I haven't got 4 yet tbh 3 > 2 though tbh.

I got CS2 for the fact it was alot smaller mb than CS4 and 3 and does the same thing.

I used 2 for ages then changed to 3, much prefer it and I think it has some more tools and stuff.
I usually like having the latest versions of programs anyway regardless

Anyways what I said was they both look ace but luke, you can see the water between the back bumper and wheel (colour it in with black)
and mark wheels are letting it down coz their blurry
