Man United do too. No one else in England can compete with United for the amount of money they bring in so in theory Man United should be able to keep spending as they are now.

Yeah they are spending money they have made, not been given. They had well over £100m in the bank at last count and they've spent about £50m of it.

This financial fair play crap is laughable. If it was going to sort things out City wouldn't be able to spend a penny until they've carted off all their expensive reserves.
The Arabs will already have the loopholes sussed.

I think Utd should be allowed to spend what they want anyway as they are the best team EVER

I would be very shocked and astounded if UEFA turned any club away from playing in the champions league or the UEFA cup on the grounds of the clubs finances. Its all a facade to make football look like its becoming accountable for its finances in the current economic climate.

Well the days of football clubs being run by true fans like Jack Walker and Dave Whelan are sadly ending.
Football is now a business so why shouldn't it be run as a profitable venture instead of a play thing for the rich?
The owner should be made accountable for running a tight ship, Otherwise you'll just get the team with the owner willing to chuck the most money at his club being successful.

Imagine how much TV revenue would be lost if the CL didnt feature Real Madrid, Barca, City (?!) etc...
UEFA won't be kicking anybody out unless they can safely cover their losses.

So what's the point in the ruling then?

As I keep saying, when these caps come in (Assuming they're done properly) clubs like Arsenal & Palace will flourish. We spend only what we've got.

Says the Man City fan. I wonder what your view was 5 years ago
In theory they should definitely be making a stand on club financesa, in practice the people in charge are too busy receiving back handers to care.

I do feel sorry for Arsenal. The club is run well, Just a shame Arsene has his hands tied in the transfer market. Does anybody else think the only reason his job is safe is he does so well at bringing in cheap quality players that then get sold from underneath him for big profit?

His job is too safe, thats the problem.
But lets see what he does this transfer window.
If he makes no quality signings then he can FOD

He's too stubborn for his own good really. I'd let Fabregas go and spend the money from him plus another £10-15M (if he's allowed) on a quality keeper and defence. Oh and fuck Bendter off

I think he does really. Just like Fergie has for the last few years. The only reason he's allowed to spend now is because of the retirements this season.

Tevez is a cock, I would think he'd be a tiny bit less cock like if he wasn't in with that Joorabchian (SP) fella but still. I've heard plenty of stuff about his 'family' situation (involving 18 year old mistresses and the like) I think he genuinely just like's all the attention.
I wouldn't be at all suprised to see Auguero end up at City (although I think he wants to go to Real personally), especially given the Tevez stuff.
We still need a LB

Blatant trouble maker, waits till City announce their first signing then a few hours later he steals the headlines by saying he wants to leave What a twat!
