It is considering we do this then loan other players out leaving us short of cover! Did it with Rossi, sold Smith! Now Simpson is out on loan, Campbell might be iff again. Just hope someones coming in!

My gut feeling is that they are freeing up a bit of the wage bill to get a decent striker(berbatov).

He's a very good squad player, still got plenty of pace. Far superior to Senderos imo and 31 isn't too old its not like you've paid 10m for him.

It just seems wrong...buying Manu players. I wasn't happy when we bought Gallas from Chelsea and I still can't accept him as a Gooner.
Last time we bought a man U player was Brian Kidd in 74!!!

I'm very suprised he's gone, must have been told he had to go as he seemed very keen on staying and getting his testimonial.
He can do a job, but at LB, he became a bit of a liability at CB imo
He's definately a good addition to your squad, and his experience will help some of your kids
But he has most likely been told he had to go, because the Da Silva's look like they will make it, and therefore we have younger, and more promising cover in the area
Especially considering Fabio was the one capped for Brazil and considered the better, but it looks like he'll be the squad player and we'll see more of Rafael

TBH it just shows how much Fergie rates him...
He kicks up a massive fuss when we want to sign Heinze and it doesnt go through, yet allows this deal to go through without a problem.
I know Arsenal need to sign some experience but dont think this is what most fans had in mind.
