Sounds like something I'd enjoy on a boring afternoon tbh. This cone thing, did you buy online? no idea what they look like. I feel after few years of corsa, and spending thousands on everything else,k I should start to preserve it abit.

Got them from homebase mate -
http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=090774&Trail=searchtext%3EWIRE+BRUSH

Totally agree about preserving it. Corsa b's are getting old now so its definately a good area to invest some time and money in

Stripping the old stuff is best done with a twist wheel like one of these on a grinder...

Don't take as long.

Cheers chaps!
Got a few more bits done to the car, its nearly there now!
Stub axles and freshly painted backing plates fitted
Then I build the rear brakes back up and fitted the other coilover
Brake pipes have been all reconnected too ready to for bleeding
Coilovers need to come back off though Sam was right about the rubbing. The D/S is touching and the P/S is very very close so both are coming off so I can tap the inner arches in a bit to give them some more clearance
Just put the exhaust back on this morning as well
The rear drums have been rubbed back and given a fresh coat of hammerite so they are ready to go back on next
Should be back on the road for sunday all being well

My GAZ's rubbed on the rear too, but on both sides. Never got around to smashing the arch in though .
