Really? Cant really remember the last played we signed who I raved on about a lot other than Cole I think.
Dont know much about this new guy weve signed from Porto, Poulson wasnt a great signing other than for cover (I hope), Jovanovic was just a freebie, Shelvey and Wilson are both just kids.

Not sure, that guy that wrote that post had him listed as an under 21. Even if he isn't in the under 21s category we're still at 25 with Hargreaves in the squad.

The only reason i think he won't win it because martinez has form of taking these good youngsters on loan and never fucking playing them
IMO he's better than all their midfielders, that pretty much just leaves rodallega who isnt all that great

It looks like no new goalkeeper, so let's be absolutely clear before anyone tries to let Wenger off the hook on this. We could have had Schwarzer back in May when we first offered £2.5 million. At that time, Hodgson and Fulham would have sold - but made it clear that they would do it at their price of £4 million. Wenger refused to increase the offer.
Today we have offered that £4 million again - but 3 months too late. Hodgson has gone and Hughes has been in no hurry to find a replacement.
This is an almighty mess - and down to Wenger's insistence on getting players on the cheap.
Instead of having the player for months, training with the team and developing an understanding to improve our defence, we start with the same 2 goalkeepers that cost us dearly last season and the same glaring deficiency under the high ball we have had for at least 3 seasons. In addition, we have completely unsettled the goalkeepers we do have by letting them know we want soemeone else as first choice, and we have made the club loook stupid again in the eyes of the general public.
Wenger has done some inspired dealings in the past but this summer - when by his own admission he had plenty of money at his disposal - he has made an absolute mess of the goalkeeping situation and it could end up costing us dear in the long run.
