Will be going to Bedge as soon as I get a car and then going to Haldon Forest in 3 weeks time as well. Got 2 days riding planned in Wales in November for my birthday as well so got a few things lined up.

No car for the next couple of weeks so can't get anywhere half decent to ride it Chuffed with it though!

What sort of weight does it come in at? I'm gutted they didn't have a small in stock.

Yeah that will be on the shopping list for next year once. Don't think I'll ever need to change a component tbh unless I get an XTR fetish

it's built up more freeride, so Rock Shox Pike coil forks, Mavic 321 36 hole rims, Azonic Double Wall bars and Azonic A-frame pedals.

But now the Kalula serves me well I want it more XC.

Bought a 650B MTB to replace my Ibis Mojo HD so as I had some 26" wheels and tyres and a few groupset bits spare I have bought a Cotic soul to use to rip around on in Winter. Just waiting for my bargain Rock Shox Rebas to arrive from Bike Discount then I will be giving it a try out, I cannot wait, everyone raves about them.

I rode the Bronson (650b Santa Cruz) of Steve Peats Mechanic briefly the other week, felt nice and rolled well.

Looks really easy to ride but it was fair steep. Dunno if its the angle with the camera being on too of the helmet or not. No matter, new bit of trail I've never done before.

Worst XC ride ever today. Was a bit drizzly when I went out so wore under shirt and light winter jacket (Montane one that screws up as small as an apple).

I got really hot and hit this climb that was so sodden, I just kept wheel spinning. Completely hyperventilated and had to stop, have something to eat. Thought I was going to puke.

Then this happened on a bit of farmers field linking the road to bridleway 2 miles from home. The 20 minute mud removal with tyre lever ensued

In August!

Juxtaposed with this farmers reservoir...it's normally up to the black fence and beyond.

The ground has been so hard and dry for a while that the rain we have had the last couple days has just left a slippy top coat of mud!

Can always tell how much we've had by the conditions at Chicksands Bike Park, as that drains really well. Needless to say it was soggy.
