Very light in weight, only 660Kg if I remember. Although they're slow with their 4 speed box. You really need a Quafe job and an LSD to make them fast. There used to be a 2.0 Mini up our way a while ago.

Bike engined mini's are the way to go. Not keen on them though but can't deny it would be fun

I'd love to get a Mini, only prob for me is that they are too small. Maybe in a few years i could get one as a second car or something. One would prob go up my drive with no probs, the 106 is seriously tight, have to take the wing mirrors in to get it up.

I am now! You'd have to buy a good condition Mini as restoring one (like I was going to do for competition use) is a nightmare. Lots of welding and almost certainly the subframes etc will all need replacing.

Cheaper with the Nova!

my mate had an early model, did a turbo conversion on it, completely stripped, ONE inch suspension travel all round, 3 degrees negative camber, the list goes on. Limited to 130 mph cos of 'box, but was capable of much more. Replaced pistons on more than one occasion, think he ran a crazy amount of boost at one point and melted a hole right thru the centre of his no. 3...

He used to work at Southern Mini Cente in Kent if any of you know it.

Mini's are cool, my hubby had one when we first met, blue with white roof and two whites stripes down the bonnet. A real babe magnet at the time.

this one is britsh racing green, and has the white roof white bonnet stripes and light weight alloys.

change carb n manifold shud see off most coopers

and keep it in good condition and it should be a nice little collectors car, as theres only apparently about 500 of them left.
