Drew if you need any more help, try PTS 01582731733 and explain the problem to them, they have done lots of work to my cars and my mates uno turbo and they know their stuff

shouldnt be able to move the actuator rod in and out by hand mate, thats a weak actuator, when it moves in and out freely it will loose you boost as it wont hold the pressure!

you could take the actuator off and blow into it to see if it moves, if you can blow at about 20 psi tho

you coult try taking the pipe from the turbo > actuator off at the actuator end and jamming a bolt up there, then you can see if you feel the boost and know for sure it's the actuator
