halfords do brake caliper pain in a tin for £8

get a screw driver (flat head)
grade 100/200 glass paper
masking tape
2 clean paint brushes (small about 1 ince wide size)

remove the calipers (haynes book handy here)
use the sand paper to get rid of brake dusk and crap thats stuck on the caliper, with the screwdriver use that to remove the evil crap in the corners and on hard stuck on bits of road grit n crap.

use 1 brust to sweep away the dust n debris on the caliper then follow the instructions of the paint tin.

heres mine i did yesterday!

How long did u allow for paint to dry?

10 minutes between the coats of paint (2 coats)
then left it for 3 hours without the wheel on and a binliner drapped over the wheel arche and under the caliber so no dust would betblown into the paint. then took it for a 10 minute thrash up the m42 to make sure the wind speed and brake heat wont affect it.

sugest you do the fronts one day then the rears another.

I've bought silver hammerite in preparation -cost about £5 a tin. When I got my allots fitted, somehow the calipers went from rusty brown to nice and black - not sure what they've put on them but I ain't painting them till they go brown again- they look great!
