If you want it to work on a DVD player then you need to convert it from an mpeg/avi. Check out vcdhelp.com for info.

You can use nero to burn a vcd from an mpeg or avi file. Nero then converts it to the correct file type ( believe its mpeg2) and burns it to disc. Nero works well with mpeg but not that good with avi.

If you want it on disc so you can use on another computer, then you can burn straight onto disc as an mpeg/avi.
