I dont see the point of getting anything more than a 1.2 @ 19. Im 19 myself, been driving for about a year, had an accident few months ago so im fucked on insurance, hence why I bought a new corsa with free insurance.

People are trying to hard to get massive engines, when at 19 you should'nt be trying for anything higher than 1.2 cause of insurance. Have that for a few years and work up. You're going to be paying alot whatever you get so try and keep it cheap

hey, this is no word of a lie here peeps. i was trying to get a new quote from my corsa 1.6 on elephant.co.uk when my mate saw the advert for the seat leon 2ltr sx. anyway, im 19 with no no claims bonus and i entered my details and changed the car discription to a seat leon 2ltr sx. i got the quote back expecting it to be astronomical but nope, much less then my 1.6!

i got a quote for £1400 fully comp! Couldnt believe it, thought it must have been a mistake, but my mate did it and he's the same age and has no no claims too. his quote ended up being £1549 fully comp. Dunno whats going on there like but if i had the money for the leon, i would have accepted that quote

if i get to drive a decent car.

If it cost me 3000 more to drive a car i am in love with for a whole year then why not alot more fun + my corsa has cost me close to 2000 in repairs in 12 months

2 services? Sounds like you've been unlucky. Well, if you can afford £3k insurance, then go for it, i'd definitely get a new car either way lol.
