Well that really depends if your stupid enough to run a high boost or dont get specialist help. I am agreeing with you, i've haerd plenty of cases where theve detonated but then again from other forums it seems get it right the first time and you wont have as much hassle.

YES BUT its a 1400 8v class, meaning thats as quick as it can be without jumping up a class!
Maybe a Civic is quicker, but its a 1600 isnt it??? Compare that to a rally prep'd 1600 engine and you'll see that the civic is slower than it!!!

Yeah, but the civic engine would still be road spec.
Now if there are limitations on what can be done to the engine in that class, then fair enough.

at the end of the day, everyoness gotta admit that for the engine size the bhp is very high, even if the torque figures arent amazingly good, altho u wudnt expect them to be on a small engine

1400 8v - 148 BHP - Rally Prep'd (lighter in weight)
2000 16v - 150 BHP - Standard
Which would you rather? Mmm hard choice...

Untrue. A well built rally prep'd engine will be more reliable than a standard engine.

2.0l 16v! the valver's already got two more bhp standard, its still got loads of tuning to be done where as the 1.4 is at its peak bhp. Sorry but for road use its the 20xe hands down
