i wouldnt let the cowboys at the local place touch cams. i would ake it somewhere that has a good reputation for engine rebuilds. look in yellow pages for engine remanufacturing.

i would let them fit the manifold, no probs, but leave the cams for some who really knows all about them*timing ect* cos they can really fcuk it up if they do it all wrong...
fitting pair of cams isnt thet pricey, but adjusting and rr sessions may bring some price to them, but it is necessary to do so that they will work properly and give the best gains.
when buing cams tell to them that what you like,*the manifold too*dont buy them from some one who doesnt really know anything.

did ya just get cams or a cam kit. Eveb then u really need the vernier pulley to get the best out of the cam.

Because the standard engine managment is not programmable, so you carnt change any of the set up, to get the best from these mods you need it set up on a RR

And why not trying to fit verney pulleys and set them in a rr?
Because I think it will gain a couple of bhp

yeah it will matey but with programmable managment you will gain allot more from them, get the most for your money

you cant really change cams with out mapping. or yes you can, but it wont get the full power out of it. same is with vernier pulleys.
but the thing is with cams that when you put new cams in their timing is total different to standard cams, compared to exhaust and inlet cams their different angle, and total angle.*timing and injection goes bit wrong*-> so you can put in some vernier pulleys with out mapping, ive seen it done on just std engines...
but this is just my opinion and i have ordered vernier pulleys and going to fit them in before i get the ECU done, but the setup has to be ofcourse made in RR.
and the best gains will come out after the ecu setup, ofcourse.

haha, very good efforts but vernier pullies dont have the lobes for the cam shaft sensor.

we are speaking about corsa 16v ones, from kent, piper, and anyone else that makes them as far as I'm aware. Probably because with standard management there is little point in fitting different cams.
