going down the motorway at about 80mph and went past this junction and a traffic branch cop car came out so i put on the anchors a wee bit looked in the mirror then he turned the lights on....and i thought fuck me here is 3 points and £60 fine coming my way but luckily it was just for some bloke on the hard shoulder

i was well relieved then!!

he might go past you and shake his finger, but he would not stop you for 80mph. I cruise past traffic cops at 75-80mph and they dont bat an eyelid.

somewhere between 80 and 85....not totally sure coz i was watching the road and not the speedo. my car has been running pretty well recently now that i am doing a lot of motorway miles compared to short runs through town

i got 5 points for 80 in a 40 and 155 quid fine, 3 points for 65 in a 40 and 60 quid fine and again the next day 65 in a 40 plus another lovely 60 quider, nice couple of months they where...
