looking at the top gear mag the figures as follow

pug 106
1.4
75bhp
83 torque

0-60 13.2s

1.2 sxi
75bhp
81 torque

0-60 12s

surely this aint right? cos a 1.4 quicksilver kinda beat me lol

would gearing have any part in those figures? the corsa SXi has a close ratio gearbox.

had a smal race with a m8 who owns a saxo 1.4 8v and was neck and neck very little in it, untill i gave up cos we where startin to double the speed limit .

TBH if u put smaller alloys on u should be pretty close when racing.

Is the Quicksilver not a 1.4 16v. If it is you've got no chance as it weighs about the same as a Corsas bumper.

i could JUST hit 120mph in my 1.4 SRi before i put my now very heavy combat bumper back on i really doubt a 1.2 sxi can do 120,

He prob was, but you have to remember that if he sees 120 mph on the clocks is prob nowhere near that. Clocks always overread and more so at high speed.
If you look in NED's garage theres a pic of the clocks in his C 1.2 16v doing nearly 120.

As for the 106, Well it must be down to the gear ratio's. Other than that Pug will have just doctered the figs to keep ins grp low.

I raced a quick silver and he was keeping up with me, but wasn't at all powerful enuff to overtake, or even get any closer to me
