Personnally, i think it SHOULD be done under warrenty. So what, u've removed the plastic strips on the car. That doesn't mean that the paint should have faded underneath. You can have a go stating that they haven't sprayed the car properly.
I think u have a case there and i would go for it guns blazing!!! Its bang out of line.
Could you see anyone buying a BMW/VW etc and the paint faded underneath? I very very much doubt it

The paint CANT fade under the strip, any fading will be on the exposed paint.
I'm guessing its a Corsa C if your thinking of getting it done under warranty, how old is the car, and what exactly did you use to remove the glue residue? Please don't say petrol.

When i pulled my sri badges off with a hair dryer n t-cut it still took some paint off, so you probably didnt heat it all up enough.

can't see why vauxhall would help you out to be honest, you took the strips off.....
talking of which, i've just realised how lucky i was. I debated with myself for ages on taking the the strips off my 9 yr old RED sri and when i finally got round to doing it i was pleasntly suprised.
No fading at all

i had a mark under the laquer, i had it done under the warranty , had to be done twice mind as they messed up blending the paint in, all sorted now. take it in see what they say.if its under the laquer then theres nothing you could have done to damage it. kick up a fuss if they get awkward.

If it is only a faint line not like Daimos as his looks very grey, it will go eventually, it was like that on my Red Corsa B but it went with time.
