that much ? thats damn heavy
what would be the point of stripping out and fitting one just to pile the weight back on, unless its needed

because you wont be gaining any weight coz you'll be stripping your seats out - its a safety thing aint it as opposed to see how quick you can make your car go thing.

Lightweight components - wheels - strip out panels and carpet etc.......
You can probably pick up a lightweight cage but you'll pay through the nose for it.

A rollcage is there purely for safety. If your thinking of doing any form of motorsport, you MUST have an MSA approved rollcage. You get a huge range of rollcages, they just depend on how fat your wallet is.
Also you could do what Ive just done and spent a small fortune on replacement light weight panels and parts. But again, this is very expensive, especially if you go for the carbon fibre options like I did.
But if you are hoping to get into motorsport, Id loose the 2.0 for now. If you entered that in a class, you'd be eaten alive. Start small and climb the ladder. There arent any shortcuts.

Ah ok, sorry got the wrong end of the stick. Good idea though, safety comes first. Get yourself a good comfortable helmet also. Give us a shout next time your going to the track and I might nip down too.
