tell them u got on a train to go to the next village, but fell asleep and came all the way down south, and didnt know how to get back, as some guy nicked ur wallet on the train.
so u walked back, hence going missing for 3 weeks

my mate once told the teacher he was at the sas traing base in hereford and his car broke down. of course towing vehicles are not allowed in the base so he couldnt get back. worked for him!

I would say that you`ve had some personal problems and have not felt like coming in much recently. You could then say that things are starting to get a bit better and that you realise you are missing classes and will improve your attendence. End of the day you get what you put into your degree mate. I used to be selective as to what classes i would go to and it was my undoing.
