agreed, some bloke tried these different methods and rr'd it and apart from the viper the drilled box was the best option

it was on a 1.6 16v i think or a tuned 1.4
viper = 119bhp
induction kit =110bhp
panel/drilled box =114bhp

RR results with induction kits are to be honest shit. the bonnet is open and air is flowing in at a fast rate into the ducting and over the bonnet. out on the road traveling at speed the viper may well give a few hp more than a conventional cone filter, however. teh viper will heat up in traffic and will take a while to cool down. also the viper will be restrictive at low speed and possible high engine rpm. fit the biggest cotten filter you can fit and use decent ducting. if poosble a shield would be good but more in a sense to flow air all around the filter.
