i have a '99 sport, when cold starting it goes on choke automatically as normal, although when i put the clutch in it revs up to 2100 -2200 rpm probably twice or so, and then idles normally.
ive heard its the air idle control valve. I think the ecu has been a bit confused since i turned my airbox into a piece of chese
I rekon its only started since i drilled the airbox
any ideas sport lads???
cheers

Its a complet arse to get to matey its on top of ya throttle body its only help on with two screws easy to take off and clean/change jst a pain to get to, fingers crossed it aint ya throttle position sensor thats a nightmare to get to, to clean it just use carb cleaner, consult ya haynes manual there is a maximum distance for the valve to be set at before reasembling
