That's exactly the sort of thing I wanted to do on my old car, but couldn't get it to work

any ideas on how i should finnish them?

i wasnt sure wether to cover them in vinal or paint, only thing with paint is that it will take me ages to make the things completely smooth and defect free.

Looks great

Regarding getting a good finish,

Can i recommend getting a Stopper. Im sure you are aware of what the stuff is as you seem pretty up with the bodywork side of things, but i would defently recommend it rather then normal filler.

You are able to get a defect free finish alot easier i feel with a stopper.

A good one to look out for is "Top Stop Gold"

hopin too finnish that one 2moro then i can do the drivers side. its my first attepmt at something like this, thought i would do the doors before i attempt to do the boot, got a few ideas for that though

slowly, very slowly. Now im just sanding and filling, sanding and filling. Which reminds me, Ive gotta order some large packs of wet and dry, about £50 worth!! all the resin and matting is finished on mine now, just filler etc. Got some cheap filler from work, random stuff to make the cards smooth, before putting top stop over the top to make them PERFECT. Then high build primer.

dunno if u did the same but when you made the actually cone things i used body repair mesh, has made it very strong and was easy to shape the fibreglass without using too much of it actually lookin at your garage u used that material instead, looking good though
