The 1.4 and 1.6 16v engines sound awesome with the right filter, really impressed with the sound.

Unfortunately the Sxi am buying is of course 1.2 16v. What filter can I get for it to make a good loud note.

No chance of making it sound like the bigger engined Sports am gueesing

Still any help appreciated

How loud can you make 1200 16v's sound with it done?

if u want the sound then get on the phone to pvd and get a bfo, loudest there is! and works well with loadsa cold air feeds!

with a drilled air box it will be louder but not as loud as a bfo cone

bfo? does that stand for something or is it just the name of it? Is it a panel filter or cone type?

be patient boy! bfo is the name of pvd's air filters, u want the bfo cone filter if u want noise! bfo panel and drilled air box for power, if u can call it that on a 1.2

cheeky!! No its noise am after not looking to up the 70bhp, lol. Used to a 45bhp 1.2 8v so anythings gonna feel quick (ish), lol

i got a PVD Filter and drilled the airbox.. centre silencer remveed and monza backbox.. loud as fuk!

if you take the intake pipe of the back of the box and drive it round the block, this will give you an idea of how loud your car can be

the little litre cars are getting more and more impressive though, the 1.0 12vs can do some.
and ive had loads of people say my 1.2 8v sounds sweet as with a pipercross and cold air feed
