Ive just bought a Corsa C and will be picking it up nxt saturday when i hope to fit my headunit and multi changer to it. (pioneer) I was just wondering , if i do fit it will i lose the dispaly thing on the dash ?

you will, but there are ways to get around it Have a look in the tutorial section and it shows you how to get your MFD back. However, it wont show any information form the H/U, just the date/temp etc

erm, u will lose the radio station that is playing..but u keep the time, date and temp if u swap the yellow and red wires on the ISO

nope, swapping the yellow/red wires solves memory storing problems

snipping the red/grey wire brings up the display

yea, you have to snip the red/grey cable or diconnect the remote lead (antenna lead, should be a blue colour), its all in the tutorial section mate

?..well the guy at halfords that fitted mine, just connected the red and yellow together and the date was on :S..didnt snip anything

i fitted my new alpine headunit the other day and i havent changed any wires around at all. I can store radio stations in the memory but i lose the date and radio station, but the temperature and clock still works.

i got some cable from vaux. it shows me all details like track number time and shit

Well i bought a cable which does the steering controls. An audioleads one which said you will not get a remote display.

And I bought a Vauxhall Facia adaptor, and this cable came with it. it converted all the wires. Plugged it in and I got all the details for my unit, like track time station. The only thing that stopped working was the automatic clock. I guess cause it was linked to the RDS of the original stereo.

Oh well, i spose i'll just end up chopping the wire to get the date up permanently...
