If you stick the XP disc in and reboot, and boot from your CD-Rom you should get the options to reformat and install a fresh copy of XP.

Boot up the machine, after XP has loaded put a floppy in the drive, then go to My Computer>Right click the floppy drive>Select format>Select "Create MS-DOS Startup Disk"
When it has done that, restart the machine, get into your BIOS (normally by pressing DELETE at the POST screen (the black screen that counts the memory and shite). Then select the boot sequence and set it so that the floppy is checked for boot before the hard disk. Then you have options to boot with CD support and such like, boot with CD Support and then when you have the command prompt type "format C:/u" which makes sure the drive is fully cleared. Because XP wont have got chance to boot it cant inforce its protection on the drive, voila.

Try This Link, and Download the Home or Pro Floppy Boot (6 Floppy Disks Reqd!) Think it should work.
