i keep on gettin all the dodgy files with interference in the middle that the record companies circulate, it seems like its every file i download
how can i spot them b4 i download em? do u get em on kazaa lite?

you get them on kazaa lite, i downloaded a heap of songs for my dad last night, deleted about 12 of the 15!

The only way you can find out is if you download a bit and then preview it.
The problem is as far as can be seen the file is correct, it has audio data on it, it has a set length etc so it is a valid file just not what you want.

try using winmx you still get the odd dodgy file but not as bad as kazaa

plus most of the dead files on kazaa are ones used by the record companies to monitor who is accessing them & recording your IP's

even if this were true, they cant prosecute you like they can in america due to differing legislation
