more power esspecially on turbo cars, not so much apparent on n/a but they arent expensive, maybe 1-2 bhp

hmmmm, just looking at craigs post on the sale section. he's selling them for £49 but is it really worht getting on.

I gained 5bhp at the wheels with a janspeed mild steel de-cat.
It had a few other mods though so you might not gain as much.

its a straight thru bit of pipe.
It will be much louder.

If its just the pipe it'll be louder, cant see you loosing power on an ecotec.
If you do, then its just an excuse to get an inlet manifold!
Mine had inlet plenum, unichip + pipercross cone (standard exhaust) and it gave 5bhp after getting the de-cat fitted.
Unichip didnt need re-mapping either.
