Most turbo cars dont respond well to induction kits. Imprezas especially because of where the induction system is in relation to the turbo.

Yeah too much heat under the bonnets for induction kits, best type of air intake is usually ram-air type(on turbo cars that is)

Piston number 3 is the weak link apparently. Most meltdowns occur through over enthusiastic chipping to up boost. There's nowt like proper normally aspirated tuning

My engine's bullet-proof (touches wood) thanks very much Ross. So's my gearbox now thanks to a couple of uprated components.

At least NA engines tend to get mapped properly. Not like turbos:

"Hello sir - I'm a specialist turbo engine tuner. How much would you like me to increase the boost? Just say when..."

I can see where your coming from andy but most people don;t know every type of turbo engine unlike N/A engines which are easier to work with and don;t produce the heat.

speak to the lads on S/N if your worried Marc. Dave Wallace or Scott even Paul(Pavlo) are all the best ppl to speak to if your worried about the chips. And if PPP was going to blow your engine do you think subaru would endorse the action of prodrive especially when they keep the warranty in force with ppp.
