my 20xe corsa wont idle ive just fitted the enigne it runs but wont idle can anyone think of anything ive missed?

also what wire goes to the little titter on the thermostat housing for the water temp

did u clean the idle air control valve before fitting engine if not could be that,there should be a wire next to the cold start sensorplug.

theres a blue wire which go's on it

idle air control Valve as p16vlv
throttle Position sensor aswell

I have this same problem, sometimes it idles fine them all of a sudden its as if someone is revving the car, where and how easy is it to fix the ICV?? If it needs replaced how much will it cost, is it a dealer only part???

second hand from Dixsons about 15notes
and about 100 for Vauxhall new

its a bit of a Arse as its tucked away at the back of the engine.
u can not fix a ICV as its a sealed unit
try cleaning it and refitting

I'll give it a go, you also mentioned the Throttle positioning sensor where is that and can it be fixed or is it a dealer only part?? sorry bout all the questions m8 but its really annoying me now.

the only other thing it could be is the air flow meter , it has a blanking plug on it that you can take off and adjust the screw underneath , you can adjust your idle and emissions with it , but it might be the early 20xe that this works on , like mine it has no cat or lambda sensor .
