The GT version wont be much slower than a 1.6 corsa, emission controls are getting stricter and stricter im sure it will be easy to tune, its the same lump as a vts/106 gti is it not but detuned?

Its not the same engine.

The engine is the same as the one found in my dads 307 1.6 16v 110bhp

0-60 in 10.0 seconds.

It wont be that much slower than a 1.6 corsa, but it is slower, and it is meant to be a GT version.

I would not call it pointless. The C2 GT is nothing to do with pleasing the consumers its so Citroen can enter the Super 1600 cup!

And still lose in style. Anyhow, where is the GT version of the Corsa C, which is in the Super1600 class, and winning every other race????

Are we that thick boys that we think the name is what matters. It could be called the C2 BGH. Its to do with the engine / gearbox and other things in the car.

The C2 VTR does not fulfill the requirements to enter the Super 1600 - more than likely will have something to do with the gearbox on it.

Owning a car with a GT badge feels better than owning a car with a 'BGH' badge. GT is meant to represent a superior model of that car, like the Punto GT. Why has the Focus RS been so succesful? I pretty sure the 'RS' at the end of Focus helped.

My question was, if you could read it right the first time, was that i did not know of a special corsa C model that was built specifically so that the Corsa C coud enter into the Super1600 class.
