ok I dont have the first clue about amps and was wondering wtf do I do basically?

I've gotta Vibe VP2 2 chan 600W Amp, I haven't got a sub at the moment but I've got 2 sets of 6x9's and 2 sets of 17cm speakers o and tweeters in the front.

I've only got a Blaupunkt Casablanca CD51 head unit which will run a amp but its gonna be pants I think so I'm gettin a new head unit soon but for now I just wanna get a good quality sound all round so was wondering what would be the best setup for now? and how do I do it ?

Firstly, what power is the amp in RMS per channel, and what power are the speakers? You need to make sure they are compatible. If they are, then run the 17s off two channels of the amp, in the front dors using the autolead adaptors to make them fit and i would say use the other set of 17s to go in the parcel shelf for now. Ideal setup though is sub(s) in the boot, and components up in the front. That will give the best sound quality, but with what you have what i said might be the best solution. Or, wait till AustinPxx comes along to explain it better!
