Depends if ya car has a knock sensor, if it has the car will adjust the managment settings to cope with the higher octane if not then i am not sure if ya will benifit, this is what i have heard any way

yes one has an octane rating of 98 the other 95, so you get more bang so to speak

unless your 1.4 is old and uses RON plugs. Im not sure if these engine did, or did not come with them. I am certain the 1.2/4 8v SPI models came with RON plugs, but not sure on the MPI version. Might be knock sensor, in which case just fill up and be on your way.
