Just done a search! The GT is to meet regulations so they can enter the super 1600 series. 2500 GTs will be produced.

The GT is just a manual transmission.
Knocking out few more BHP as result

There are further changes on the GT such as no spare (I think), no cruise control and a few other creature comforts removed to reduce weight.

Removing the sensodrive system does not release any more power BUT its meant to be quite heavy so it will help the power-weight ratio
