Right, I had a problem with headunit this morning in that there wa sno power getting to the face off screen although main unit was lite. Got that sorted (or shoudl I say it sorted it's self) but then I took the HU out to fix a long time problem of the radio not working. got this fixed but now.....
BUT now I have a major problem (I'm telling you this hasn't been my day). When I was putting the headunit back in it wasn't going in far enough, the ISo connector getting in the way as usual. But all of a sudden the central locking went crazy, locking and unlocking and the interior light went off. And now it seems im fucked! Is there anything that is in this area that would cause these things, as my car isn't locking now (even with the remote central locking) and the interoir light doesnt work and the MFD display thing lights up but has nothing on it!
I have removed and put back the head unit many a time and never had this problem!
I have a feeling that I have disconnected or sliced a wire by mistake when pushing the unit in but can't see any obvious ones.
Any help much appreciated!

Havent checked them yet, but did think about them...surely the central locking wouldn't work at all though...will go see though.
Cheers again!

take the headunit out and check all the wires, its probably the head unit lomb cos:
1. its connected to the mfd
2. they have a function which makes the headunit beep if the door opens and the face is still on, even though it doesnt work on a corsa it could still be that.

Hmm, a nice new twist. Had a good look around at the wires, doesn't seem to be any damamge to any of them. But checked the fuses, if I am right it should be fuses 1, 17 (and 16 or 18 can't rmember which) that shopuld be blown with the problems im having, but only fuse number 1 is gone. Tried replacing it but all I get is bue sparks flying back at me, although all other fuses seem fine :?
Anyone got any more ideas, should I try disconnecting the battery and then whakcing the fuse in, Im thinking its just going to blow again!
