sort of works the reverse really, a car designed with a kit looks good but usually looks crap on another car, but the engine, swap the engine and its all good! big no no to cossie kits on normal escorts imo

Isnt it the same as sticking a Gsi kit on a 1.2?

I recon sticking the bodykit of the top of the range car is a good thing, aslong as you dont then badge it up as being the real thing, .
