Im running a split charged optima in the boot with BIG diesel upfront. In an effort to loose weight I was thinking of just sticking the optima under the bonnet and doing away with split-charging and the diesel battery. Did you find it clamped in ok as it doesnt have much of a shoulder around the bottom for the clamp to bite down on Looks smart though with an Optima under the hood, and the brace is tidy mate : )

Same just open the pics in Paint and go Image > Stretch/Skew... and change to say 40% of the size then re-save?
Brace looks good too

i think its clamped very slightly but it doesnt really need it at all cuz its so heavy and a snug fit it doesnt move anywhere

I'd watch out mate cos if it did come undone somehow and that luuverly P.G positive terminal clamp touched the underside of the bonnet (it will be pretty close anyway) you could endup with a rather big bang and flames
p.s what happened to the other bonnet strut?

Not with a fibreglass bonnet it wont
The other bonnet strut was taken off to try make the bonnet fit better plus it aint needed as bonnet weighs nothing
The stut brace now holds the battery in aswell now
