Is 7.0x17 the same as 205/40/17?!

7x17 is the rim width, 205/40 is the tyre width

but yes those tyres and rims will fit fine.

Oh right!

I understand now!

So will 7.0x17 fit ok onto a Corsa C which has been lowered -40mm?

Also how will 17's affect my speedo?

yes as long as the wheels are the correct offset. it will slightly change your speedo, nothing to worry about too much though as they read slow anyway.

make sure you get et45 offset and you should have no problems.
