toying on idea to keep 1.6 16v swop to 2.0 as its booked in to have some work done to 1.6 but my mrs has 4500 an she wants my corsa, anyways my question is i have 1500 quid so what car would you get for 6000 quid

heres my shortlist so far though some i will need little extra cash,

toyota celica gt4 turbo
nissan skyline r33 2.6 turbo
honda integra
mr2 turbo
saxo/pug gti/vts
impreza turbo
toyota supra
nissan pulsar gti-r

insurance is no problem ive looked at all the above what would you get

i doubt you would get a very good GTR for 6 grand mate, out of that lot, integra or GT4,

I HOPE he means a 33 GTS-t (2.5 single turbo) not a rb26dett 2.6

Supra would have to be a grotty NA if mkIV
impreza - you'd be scraping the gutters

if you go with any jap import - buget another 1 to 2k on insurance

pulsar is a corflakes box with 2.0 turbo - gastly


all depends what your after in a car.... the choice seems to be a bit exteme a saxo to skyline 33 GTR aye

are you after a hatchback
are you after 4wd/FWD/RWD
NA or Turbo?
a-b squirter or a cruiser??

well im lookin at few in particular regardless of how extreme they are

and yes the integra type r 197 bhp?

all im saying is ive bin in a skyline/impreza pug gti and they are all quick if u get my meaning im not sure what im after just thinkin at the mo just askin you lots opinion

very true

would just get a decent GT4 for around 6k

have ya thought about ya 1k insurance to go on the top of wotever ya get?

wouldnt have a chance of getting a supra unless ya got a non turbo version (it just cant be done)

read my post insurance is no probs

i found few supra's around 7-7.5 k 3.0 and 3.0 turbo's

remember i have 6 k as a deposit i can have another 2-3 grand on tic so i can have a car upto 9000 quid

Well this changes things, you never mentioned the 6k was a deposit. Still, if you want a good Supra, Skyline you would be looking 10k plus me thinks. It all depends on what you want but on your budget id stick to the Integra type R or GT4, maybe even an MR2 but they aint exactly practical. As drew said you may get a decent GT4 with money to spare there so you could always chuck on a couple of performance mods and im sure you would be well happy
