used to go with work m8s but now go when i can b bothered already big n weigh 17stone (look 6months pregnant )

used to go quite a bit but then at my marine interviews i got told that normal running is far more effective than treadmils.
they also advised me to buy weights, a pull up bar and a punch bag.
They then gave me a fitness guide which i have followed. its like a bible, especially if u wernt used to intensive excercise before starting it.
the gym was good though as the equiptment is better but at my local there was sumone always using it,grrrr

i keep goin in fazes go train hard get big but really need to get fit as i wana b a firefighter but job i am in i do 8-4 mon - fri n cant stand goin late at night as its full of the steriod takers.i like to go afternoon nice and quiet do ya own thing wiv gym to yaself so at moment looking for new job where i do shifts i.e 4days on 4 days off.put bit of weight on now (belly) aswel ust 2 weigh 12stone n was bulky now bout 11stone wiv a belly ill b back i need to as my future realise upon it.essay ova !

I have to go to my gym at nite only time i get mon-fri but as u say it gets busy with the big barstoids

Monday gym, Tuesday Boxing, Wed rest, Thursday Boxing, Friday gym, submission fighting, Saturday rest, sunday run at the gym.

I got to a gym! Meant to go at least twice a week according to the program thingy they worked out for me. But only been going once a week recently!

Ahhhh it makes me chuckle. Towards the end of December the gym is always quiet. Then January comes and it's always packed. By February it's usually back to normal again.
To all you new years resolutioners - stick at it for a few months - once you see the gains it then starts becoming addictive

What does your gym routine look like, considering you only train twice a week (Mon/Fri)?

I go to the gym if possible 4 times a week
Monday
Back and biceps plus 40 mins cardio ( running or elipitcal striders)
Wednesday
Chest and Triceps (running or elipitical Striders)
Friday
Legs and Shoulders ( running and eliptical striders)
Saturday and sunday
Running and crosstraining maybe swimming

I dont over train matey i pay at least 50 quid in esporta so i got to use up all the days to get fit like, i gave up a season in footie so i could get fit again, gain muscle mass as well as stamina coz iam a left wing i only sometimes do 4days or 5 sometimes now anyways

i just weight train twice a week,but intensive 3 hour sessions,the rest of the week i play saturday and sunday football, county senior and normal pub leagues, basketball on a wednesday for an hour and i somehow fit my darts practice in somewhere

I dont do cardio at the gym, cos the boxing does that for me and only do my arms at the boxing gym. I usually do chest, abs, legs monday, then back, abs, shoulders on friday, then maybe go for a light swim. I do want to get bigger, but I'd need to drop the boxing which I really enjoy. So for now, I only do 2 days.
