just wondering if anyone know what the panel are undneth the headlining in a corsa b are (there also in the rear qualer panels as well)

im guessing (and hoping) that there for stoping the roof creasing in a crash

anyone got any ideas

sound proofing i think I'm taking mine out anyway, cant see any other use for them other than that!

I ripped my nova headlining down, was just sound deadening. Didn't weigh all that much tbh and left a nasty sticky mess on the roof where it had been glued up.

same with all the shite on the floor, AK said about using a screwdriver, but its all brittle & is just breaking into little pieces so gona sand it all off

mine just left scratches after taking it of, it is very brittle though

currently cutting out all the old brackets (rear seats, front dash brackets, clips n stuff) which wont be needed due to lack of interior

is gona need re-sprayin inside once i'm done with it

You need a blowtorch to soften the bitumen pads, then when they're hot, scrape them off with a wallpaper scaper. |The last traces can be removed with a brillo pad and paint thinners. I stripped all the sound deadening sh1t from my shell - a horrible job, but looks good in the end.

will get out the old heatgun next weekend then & attack the car!

nearly set ma hair on fire earlier today grindin off the old seat brackets in the rear

im lost as to what you mean?

Panels under the roof lining?

you got a pic to show what your on about? It does not sound like soundproofing foam

Pads - guess i was just lucky mine came off in big sheets I will need ro resray my interior when i get it all done tho.... matt black

in your pics your can see them in the rear 1/4 panels, it the same stuff as this, but about a4 size and stuck to the middle of the roof

i think it is to keep some type of intergral strength in the middle of the roof but im guessing
