do all components speakers come with crossover units?
cos some adverts have them in the spec and some dont....im confused

I'd say not. I've look at speakers pleanty of times for variou projects, and always had to get crossovers separately.

I bought some cheap kenwood ones a while ago and they didnt have any, never use em either

Proper components with seperate tweeters should have a crossover, coaxials will have it built into the speaker.
