Just been calling around as we're goeeting a house in July/August, the average for a 2 bedroom place round here is £180,000, it's stupid amounts of money

My parents bought our house in NW London for £23k in 1983............The identical house next door has just gone for £250k :shock:
The main reasoning is the ability to get into centre of London in under 20mins, but at the same time, 10 min drive away and ur out in country side. lol.
My parents most worth while purchase i'd say.

my parents bout our house for 8k 23 years ago and its now worth 20 times that
round here a 2 bedroom semi costs about 90k for a half decent one up to 145 tops

i know what you mean mate my mam paid 9k for her house off the council in 1975 it's just been valued at 165k

we was bout to buy a house for £120k about 2 yrs ago, brand new, now the same house thats been there for like 5 years is £220k! thats in Hull!
