Anyone in the know how do these 2 cars compare? I know the integra is probably a better handler and as an LSD but any other thoughts on a comparsion?

for the record i mean the new uk spec CTR and the 98-00 Integra. Thanks.

aye, UK ITR's are designed with trackday usage in mind, UK CTR's aint, they are just hot hatches

Integra - nice recaros, appropraitely sized wheels, noisy, lsd, more focused. Later models have the same momo steering wheels as a Ferrari 550 if that type of thing interests you.

Civic - less compromised, over sized wheels, more comfy. More torquey, engine more tunable, the K20 is turning out to be quite a power house.

l33t,yea i do love the CTR's don't get me wrong as me girl's got one, torquey for a vtec too! one thing tho, steering the steering is fat too light u could turn it wtih a mouse's dick!

That'll be the new type electric power steering. The new integra still has the hydraulic version I believe.

thanks for your comments guys, looking at the performance figures there doesnt seem to be much in it, one of my bros friends has a CTR and he reckoned he absolutely raped an ITR and that the other driving pulled up a the lights afterwards and said he could belive how quick the CTR was, i guess anothr CTR owner bullsh1t story.

not much on them acceleration wise. CTR has much better engine, more driveable at low revs, CTR has more inside. I'd take teh CTR over the ITR

My mate has a Integra type R and i think its really nice, think it redlines at 9000prm and has double wishbones so this car handles like it's on rails. It's a nice car and as someone said previous was built with track day usage in mind as opposed to the Civic which isnt.

Nah it doesnt mean that its not ideal for everyday use, i'm not sure what he gets MPG wise but it can't be any worse that the mk3 Astra turbo he had. I think the only thing my mate said about it is that it sounds quite a revvy engine, like when ur on the motorway i dont think there is much in the way of sound deadening in the car hense you get to hear the engine more than your stereo - lol

The CTR is built to a price, the ITR was built to a specification

In a straight line there isnt much in it, thou mine will pull away from my mates CTR.. (induction and exhaust on mine)
You can drive it everyday no worries, its loud for a standard car (no sound deadening) but compared to say a Corsa with a loud exhaust, its much more bearable..
Handling is what the car is all about, theres not much that can touch it round bends, even cars that are twice as powerfull..
I took mine on a trackday and was lapping faster than a modded Pulsar GTIR with elledgedly 300bhp *cough cough*..
MPG as standard was about 35 if you took it steady (kept it under 5600rpm) since the exhaust/decat/filter mine does about 32 if you drive steady, and about 15 if you thrash it..
To get them to go you have to rev the tits off of them, but keep it in VTEC and theres not a lot that will keep up with you..

They sound handling and rarity both put it above the CTR..

Just about every Honda from the mid 80s has double wishbone suspension all round, bar the current civic (only has them on the rear) and the Jazz.

Dont really see the point in comparing an S2000 to these cars, totally different car altogether

As for the CTR engine being 'better' thats subjective.. The ITR puts out more HP per litre

Go for the Integra and fit a supercharger, mate had one (and then sold it for a TT) but it was probably the quickest thing i've been in.

Saying that been in a Pulsar GTiR thats had £16k spent on the engine
