Just got a new set ready to fit and the Hayne's manual talks about setting the electrode gap with a bunch of special tools. I ain't got none and have no money to get any. Can't I just fit them as they are?

Halfords. NGK Copper Core ones. Looked in the book and they were the one's for a SRi B Corsa.

The gap tool (I don't Know the name in English) cost 3Euros.
NGK came preset with 0,8mm of gap should be enough.
I use NGK bcp6es (Astra GSI 2.0 16v ones) with a gap of 0,7mm, and work fine in my 1.4 14v. However my engine revs harder than yours, so I need to decrease the gap and use colder spark plugs.

use a credit or debit car, feeler gauge is what you want but a bank card is pretty much the correct width as the feeler guage you require
